California received notice from the federal government that November’s CalFresh benefits may be disrupted if the federal shutdown continues. CalFresh benefits are funded for the month of October.Â
However, if the federal government shutdown continues past October 23, November CalFresh benefits may be delayed. You can keep using your existing CalFresh benefits as usual. No action is required. We understand this is a difficult situation and will share more information about your November CalFresh benefits as soon as possible. As of right now, the federal government has not approved California to provide you with benefits during this time.
